What Does a Professional Clean Include?
Hiring a cleaner for the first time can feel vague if you have only ever seen short service lists. This guide explains what is usually covered in a standard visit and how that lines up with our regular cleaning service.
Kitchen
Your kitchen normally gets the most detailed attention during every visit because it sees the most daily use.
- Worktops wiped and sanitised
- Sink cleaned and polished
- Hob wiped down
- Microwave exterior cleaned
- Cupboard fronts spot-cleaned
- Appliance exteriors wiped
- Bin area tidied if agreed
- Floor vacuumed and mopped
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are usually cleaned to a hygiene-first standard:
- Toilet cleaned inside and out
- Sink and taps polished
- Bath and shower surfaces cleaned
- Mirrors wiped streak-free
- Floor mopped
Living Areas and Bedrooms
Living spaces and bedrooms are generally dusted, vacuumed, and lightly tidied according to the client preference card.
If you want a more tailored visit, our team uses a home preference card and works from the priorities you set in advance. You can read more on the services page or move straight to a free estimate.
What Is Not Usually Included?
A standard clean is about maintenance, not a full restoration. Inside ovens, inside fridges, behind large appliances, heavy limescale removal, and detailed skirting-board work are often treated as deep-clean or add-on tasks.
If you need those jobs tackled, compare this checklist with our deep cleaning service and our guide to what happens on your first cleaning visit.
